Thank you all for participation and support at the Sahasradala Padma Aradhanam II (SDPA-II) function and Shankara Jayanthi Celebrations on Sunday April 30th

Kanchi Kamakoti Seva Foundation (KKSF) would like to thank all for your participation and support at the Sahasradala Padma Aradhanam II (SDPA-II) function and Shankara Jayanthi Celebrations on Sunday April 30th at Sai Spiritual and Cultural Center, Northlake, IL. Children of all ages and adults came together to chant  shlokas in the presence of His Holiness PujyaShri Shankara Jayendra Saraswathi Swamiji over a live webcast session. Our chapter was one amongst many USA centers participating in this divine function initiated by His Holiness.  Please CLICK here to view pictures from this function. Shankara Jayanthi Puja was performed in parallel for Loka Kshema, with vedic chanting of Shri Rudram, Chamakam and Panch sukthas, led by a few of our volunteers. His Holiness was received with Poorna Kumbham honors, followed by a brief address by Smt Prema Krishnamurthy Mami. His Holiness blessed all the attendees and delivered HIS Anugraha Bhashanam. His Holiness then watched participants from all the centers and joined them in the chanting of shlokas. His Holiness also expressed keen interest to see this initiative continue further with a similar performance to be held next year. The Aradhanam function concluded with recitation of Maithreem Bhajatha, Thotakashtakam, and Maha Mangala Harathi, Prasada Viniyogam and vote of thanks. Shri Matam prasadams were distributed to all devotees. Each one of the participants received a copy of a specially printed Certificate of participation from Shri Matam and signed by Mahamohopadhyaya Brahmashri Mullaivasal Krishnamurthy Sastrigal.

We are thankful to Shri  Kanchi Matam and KKSF USA volunteers for their help during months of preparation leading up to this event. We would also like to thank Sai Spiritual Community Center for extending this facility and all their support and cooperation during the planning, leading up to the event. KKSF would also like to thank all the participants for joining us at this divine event and making it a grand success, especially the young students of Shankara Bala Vihar. Special credit goes to all children and their parents for following the practice schedule and attending weekly classes and keeping up with them.  We are deeply indebted to our teachers who took it upon themselves to teach us these shlokas. Our sincere gratitude goes to our photography, audio. video and webcast volunteers for their efforts, without which this program would not have been a success. As always, we are grateful to our volunteers for conducting the Shankara Jayanthi Puja, Prasadam preparation and distribution, the wonderful alankaram arrangements and hall setup and clean-up.
