His Holiness Kanchi Shankaracharya PujyaShri Shankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Swamiji, in his Tamil New Year Anugraha Bhashyam, had encouraged for our children to be taught Shri Adi Shankara shlokas via summer camps and Bala Vihar classes. With His Holiness Anugrahams, Kanchi Kamakoti Seva Foundation Midwest Chapter is happy to announce our first Summer camp for young children of ages 6 and up (there is no upper age limit), to be held on Sunday July 14th, 930 AM at Chicago Kali Bari, 2S511, IL Route 53, Glen Ellyn, IL 60137. The day-long camp will begin with opening prayers, learning of Adi Shankara shlokas and His life-history, art-work on the great Saint and other AcharyaLs of Shri Kanchi Mutt. Lunch and snacks will be served during breaks, the camp will close at 4 PM. Prior registration by the deadline of Sunday July 7th is required and we encourage parents of children to register promptly.
